I would love to work, but childcare costs are too expensive, and even when my children are older I’m concerned about how I’ll manage during the school holidays. Unless I can find a job in a school I can’t see how I’ll be able to manage.

Better housing essential in the fight against child poverty - 12th of Oct, 2007
A new briefing released today by the Campaign to End Child Poverty highlights the urgent need to address bad housing affecting many of the 3.8 million children currently living in poverty in the UK.
1.6 million children are currently either homeless or growing up in bad housing, resulting in unequal life chances and severely blighting their health, education and future opportunities.
